When Edwin’s time begins to run short, he seems to be able to finally share his past and his life story with Leo and Tris. Leo is a bright spot in a dim part of his life, but it appears this will only be temporary. Coming to terms with his sexuality later in life, Tris has found he’s had to redefine himself and what is left of his family. What Leo didn’t expect was to find on this trip was Tris.Īfter having his life turned upside down, Tris rented a cottage from Edwin and helped the man out while getting his own life back together. When his favorite Uncle Edwin is diagnosed with terminal cancer, Leo decides to spend some quality time with Edwin before there isn’t any time left. He was a workaholic that let his personal relationships fall by the wayside when he let his job take precedence over everything else. Leo was a great character with flaws, but none too big that you couldn’t overlook them. Passing Through was very well written and the characters were entertaining, but I almost felt there were too many irons in the fire on this one.

To say I was excited to see a new book out would be a huge understatement. Review: I am an unapologetic fangirl of Ms. It’s time to seize the day-if it’s not already too late. But having learned much from his stay with his uncle, Leo doesn’t want to look back and wish he’d done things differently. When some unexpected news gives Leo the chance to return to Cornwall, he’s afraid it will be too late to rekindle things with Tris. On his return to London, Leo finds himself grieving for more than just the loss of his uncle. In Tris’s arms, in the wilds of Cornwall, Leo finds a peace he’d forgotten existed. Gay, but still half in the closet, he and Leo bond over their affection for Edwin, and the pull of attraction between them proves too strong to ignore. When he goes to Cornwall to stay with his terminally ill uncle, Edwin, love is the last thing Leo expects to find. His job in London takes all his energy and commitment.

At a Glance: I would definitely recommend giving Passing Through a read.īlurb: Leo is a lonely workaholic with no time for romance in his life.
